Surfer Blood Will Swimmingly Perform Their New Album in Cape Coral
Surfer Blood (formed in 2009) is an American indie, surf and alternative rock band that came to prominence after their single "Swim" and successful CMJ Music Marathon performances in 2009, hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Having honed their musical talents throughout high school, guitarist/vocalist John Paul Pitts and drummer Tyler Schwarz met guitarist Thomas Fekete, bassist Brain Black, and percussionist Marcos Marchesani at an after-party for the Ultra Music Festival. With a passion for indie-rock and nonstop touring, Surfer Blood, originally called Jabroni Sandwich, began recording demos in Pitt’s apartment and embarked on four tours within five months of being a group.
In October 2011 Surfer Blood released the EP “Tarot Classics” on Kanine Records led by the single “Miranda.” The band's fourth album, Snowdonia, was released on February 3, 2017. It is the first album the band has released following Fekete's passing, and features Mills and guitarist Michael McCleary. You can catch Surfer Blood performing live at Nice Guy’s Pizza on Friday, August 24!
